Death's End by Cixin Liu, A review12/22/2018 The 3 Body problem remains my favorite of the series (Remembrance of Earth’s Past). Death’s End is my second.
Once again, Cixin Liu has mixed sci-fi with such philosophical undertones that you soon realize that no matter what we think, we shall never conquer the stars until we conquer ourselves. As always, read Death’s End with an open heart. Delve deeply into two-dimensional metaphors, follow the quest for our freedom through ‘A Descent into the Maelstrom’ and try to understand the relationship between a soap and curvature propulsion. Making any sense? Didn’t think so. It will though and trust me it is a very good read. Usual suspects and more are back the sophons too… but as the dark forest has proven, is anyone really a foe or friend?
